Soda-fired Baluster style pitcher, with rich Amber Glaze. The unglazed portion has the beautiful blush variations which are characteristic to soda-fired stoneware. This pitcher is inspired by the 14th and 15th century English baluster jugs, examples of which can be found in the wonderful collection at the Museum of the City of London. Like most pitchers from this time period, this one does not have a defined spout for pouring. However, pitchers like this do pour well, and are also perfect for use as a vase for flowers.
