Details
This pitcher is inspired by the 14th and 15th century English baluster jugs, examples of which can be found in the wonderful collection at the Museum of the City of London.  Many pitchers in medieval times, (or jugs, as the English refer to them), did not have pouring spouts as we think of the today.  Of course, you can still pour effectively from them, but you might also want to use these as a vase to hold a bouquet of flowers.
