This is a classic English pitcher form, sometimes referred to as a "baluster jug".  The yellow salt glaze is one that can vary greatly depending on the glaze thickness.  Where it is thicker, it tends to be more opaque and smooth, and where it is thinner, shows more of the clay texture.

Hand thrown in Rockdale, Wisconsin and fired to 2350 degrees Fahrenheit.  The soda fired stoneware glaze is lead free, safe for dishwasher or microwave, and cleans easily.  Although this stoneware is fully vitrified and is waterproof, care should be taken when placing on a surface that could be marred by condensation.
