Classic form, inspired by 19th century greenhouse pots, which often had the name of the pottery coggled around the top circumference. Although traditionally made of red earthenware, these are stoneware that has been glazed and fired to 2350° F.

Stoneware is non-porous, so will not absorb water. However, care should be taken not to overwater, as this will overflow the saucer, and could mar the surface beneath.
